"What a teaching practice!"

I did my term's teaching practice in Intake School, January to March 1965. A wonderful school! My supervisor was Miss Dockray.

The school was preparing Romeo and Juliet under the direction of Mr Gardiner. I came back in the summer term to see the finished result. What a spell-binding production! Leeds kids speaking Shakespeare as if they had been speaking Shakespeare all their lives.

An amazing school with amazing staff and students. Inspired me to continue in teaching and I retired as a Head 33 years later.

Thank you, Intake!.
