A review of Oulton Institute by Alec Sykes written on Sunday 27th of January 2008
Memories a-plenty. During the 20's my father used to go to the institute for his breakfast.
During the 50's a small group of us used to play snooker upstaairs. I wasn't very good and how could we afford it?
Both my sisters had their wedding receptions there in the late 50's. Ah! those ham sandwiches......
I have a question - why was the Institute also known as the "Harold Hall."?.
