A review of Torre Social & Welfare Club by Michael Thomas Rush written on Saturday 5th of March 2016
I grew up with my parents always going to this club my mum and dad were both on the committee ,
Now sadly there both gone , but from my experience in the club going there from a kid till I got my membership at 18
and now I am a life member, This club Rocked my world, they are so diversified in the talent that they booked,
I remember seeing Roy Chubby Brown there before chubby got famous and a few other bands like the sweet before they were famous back in the early 70's.
It was always a friendly atmosphere, even if you had not been in for years, they were always accommodating and would take the odd coach load of out of Towner's and make them feel so at home in there own town.
I just wish that these days we could have a club like this as THEY ROCKED SOCIETY .
