A review of The Newsagent by Mark Lucy written on Thursday 4th of February 2016
Was working in the area and found I had left my e-cig charger at home - so I set off into Holbeck to try and find a disposable to tide over my cravings till I got home.
This was the third newsagent I went in and I was relieved to find that they had disposable e-cigs. Not being picky, I was willing to buy any brand to get me through the rest of the day.
I was sold a "skycig" disposable and I guess I should have been suspicious when I was told I'd get a special price of £5 instead of the £6.99 that had been written over the top of the pack in thick felt tip. Again, no problems, I'd been walking around in the cold a while and wanted to make a purchase.
Annoyingly, the skycig stopped working after half an hour, just long enough for me to get back to my office and go back to work. Not great. Could be an issue with the manufacturer, a dud maybe, but the 'special price' offered with the haste to offload the product makes me suspicious. .
