A review of Hunslet Cemetery by Silvi written on Saturday 16th of January 2016
I visit my family grave purchased in 1940 for £5 by my gran for my ww1 veteran grandad. I and my relatives keep it looking tidy and placing flowers and wreaths regulaly on the never forgotton plot. I have many generations of relatives buried in both sections on each side of the road going back since the cemetery opened. The staff from Parks and Cemeteries have been very patient and on one occation met me at the cemetery and shown me where several of my relatives are buried. Their markers have gone but it is interisting to know where they were laid to rest.
How awful it is to see the desruction of lots of the graves..
