A review of Crossgates Dental Centre by Mrs Meldrew written on Tuesday 3rd of February 2015
Fred Dowson was our dentist for years at this practice and nothing was too much trouble for him and the staff were polite and very helpful. Then he retired and sold out to this new practice. Things went downhill from thereon.
The question I would like to add is why does Mr Caulfield only work three days. It's no wonder that it takes three months to get an appointment with him. This is unacceptable.
I think things have improved since Dr Strafford arrived. She is very thorough and doesn't overrun her appointments most of the time.
The policy of having to pay for treatment or you could not book the appointment for that treatment seems to have been altered for the better. Everyone was being treated as though they were feckless people who would not turn up for the appointment, when most of the patients are totally honest and reliable.
Unfortunately I cannot get the good old fashioned service of Fred Dawson back so have to put up with the new corporate image of this practice..
