"Impossible appointments!"

The practice has an appointment system which is almost impossible to pre- book an appointment. I care for my elderly parents and do not live locally, also I work shifts so would like to book an appointment for my day off. You cannot do this - to book an appointment you have to ring at 0830 on the morning to see what appointments are available (usually none).Then they will say 'we have no appointments for two weeks'. They are making my already stressful life more difficult as it is so distressing when your parent is ill not to be able to see a doctor. I cannot understand why you cannot book an appointment for a set date and time. Its not rocket science to keep a diary.I'm not blaming the staff just the system..
