A review of Primrose High School by Anthony Jackman written on Wednesday 15th of August 2012
I was a pupil at Primrose Hill High school when it was an impressive new school. From 1967-1972. I loved most of my time there. The staff were generally good, although some took advantage of their positions of authority and got away with too much. I was and still am into music. The encouragement from the Music teacher then, Mrs Nicholson has remained with me. I shall never forget the Head Master, Mr Lowton or the excellent English Language teacher we had, Mr Clarke. Shame they didn't let me do French though primarily because I had not got on with the new French teacher. That reasoning wouldn't happen today in education. I'm a music teacher now,and my education in a stimulating multi-cultural , happy school where dreams began to seem possible for under privilaged ethnic minority individuals like me, has been invaluable.
