"Great surroundings, lousy service!"

The Stables Cafe has had a refurb and looks lovely. We ordered two coffees and two toasted teacakes at 11.00 am today. The coffees were served straight away. By 11.14 the tea cakes had not appeared and the coffees were well down. We reminded the staff of our order. The girl behind the counter said nothing but disappeared into the kitchen. By 11.20 we had finished our coffee, the teacakes were nowhere to be seen so we asked for a refund. The girl said nothing, pulled a face, opened the till and gave us the refund. There were only six people in the cafe at the time..
