"Ultrasound scan provided complete re-assurance"

I've been worried about pains in my abdomen for a while. My GP suggested that I go to the NHS for a scan, but the one I went to last year, had a waiting list of nearly 2 months, and when in the hospital I waited for over 2 hours to be seen. When the sonographer scanned me, she did not let me know anything about my results, nothing was discussed verbally, I could not see the monitor screen, and all in all, this resulted in me waiting anxiously for nearly another two weeks, before I got the results which were all clear.

This year, I decided to call the Leeds screening centre, they provide ultrasound general wellbeing scans, and was delighted to have an appointment the next day, with Judith, one of the clinical specialists there. Judith discussed the scan results there and then with me, giving me re-assurance that all was well. It took over half an hour, and Judith talked me through the whole process, giving me a very descriptive diagnosis of my Liver, Gallstones, Ovaries, Stomach and Kidneys, whilst allowing me to watch on the overhead TV screen. I was totally at ease and so pleased I went private for this scan. I would certainly recommend this clinic to anyone who wants re-assurance and encouragement that all is well. .
